Drive SnapShot – a program designed to backup your entire hard drive or separate partitions, including the operating system, all installed programs, data and security attributes in a while Windows is running and you continue to work on your computer. This application allows you to create disk images in the background, what ensures the complete safety of all data, as well as to avoid interruption of your computer. The resulting image can be mounted as a virtual drive through which you can easily restore or use separate files and directories, using the usual Windows Explorer or other file managers. The program supports file systems FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, RAID-arrays and can operate in automatic mode is selected. To work on a schedule is used with Windows Task Scheduler.

There is little use for on the fly disk image creation, if you want to deploy hundreds or thousands of workstations. We think however, that the possibility to do on the fly backup is very important for the end user to regularly protect his data. At least, this was our reason to create Snapshot. No need to shut down and boot from floppy, no need to create network disks, and no need to wait half an hour for the backup process – we think that’s nice. Snapshot View is a very easy and powerful method to explore disk images. This technique could be easily adapted to disk images created by other disk imaging programs.
